Royce Hall Gala Reopening
April 4, 1998
Royce Hall and Dickson Plaza

The reopening of Royce Hall, following major repairs from the 1994 Northridge earthquake, promised a return of the extraordinary and memorable music, dance, and theater experiences that have become a mainstay of the cultural life of UCLA and Southern California. The festive evening launched a major fundraising effort by the School of the Arts and Architecture as part of the campus-wide Campaign UCLA. Proceeds from the gala benefited the students and programs in the School and the UCLA Center for the Performing Arts, so that they could continue to bring to Royce Hall the finest performing artists in the world.
