Legacy Ball
April 21, 2006
Wilson Plaza

To celebrate the success of Campaign UCLA, with $3.053 billion in gifts and pledges from more than 225,000 donors, UCLA hosted a black tie, art deco  gala evening of dinner and dancing honoring its long history of philanthropy and significant gifts. Part of Friday's celebration was a ceremony dedicating, with a trumpet fanfare, the new Court of Philanthropy in Wilson Plaza . The court features a sloped limestone wall engraved with the names of donors who have given more than $1 million to UCLA since its founding. At the celebration, longtime volunteer and philanthropic leaders Bob Wilson '53 and his wife Marion '50 received the university's highest honor, the UCLA Medal.
